I recently came up with a new smoothie idea. Tea smoothies. And I don't mean just green tea frappicinos or something you can pick up at starbucks. I mean creative, healthy smoothies.
My favorite so far has been the passion fruit smoothie.
Ingredients:
1 cup water
1 teaspoon loose leaf Tazo passion fruit tea (that's what I used with a make your own teabag thing)
chia seeds 10g (1/8 cup)
flax seeds 10g (1/8 cup)
sweet fruit (I used frozen pineapple)
plain yogurt
ground ginger
honey (optional)
handful of almonds
The portions don't really matter as long as you don't put too many other ingredients in because then it will be too thick. Experiment with it and be creative!
